Is the Victor intake manifold that much better compared to the Offy? I have an offy right now and I am wondering how much of a performance loss will I have.
Thanks!
Terry

Depends on usage really. For high rpm, the Victor has a very good reputation (Ford fit it to the crate engines) and some racers I know have switched from Offy's with good results. I wasn't impressed by the Offy when I tried one, but it probably just didn't suit my setup at that time. What's yours used for?
Cheers, Martin.

My engine is design for a pro street/ race application. 3500-7000 rpm range
I know that you must perform some cleaning of the Offy to get the true benefits from them.
I am building a 472 cid in a 1963 Fairlane. Just a Viper Killer, that's all!

THE VICTOR JR INTAKE IS MADE TO WORK WITH CJ HEADS. THE TOP OF THE PORTS ON THE VICTOR JR LINE UP WITH THE TOP OF A CJ PORT.ALLTHOUE A VICTOR JR HAS POLICE INTERCEPTER SIZE PORTS THEY ARE NOT IN THE SAME PLACE. IT WOULD TAKE A LOT OF WORK TO USE A VICTOR JR ON STANDARD PORT HEADS.IN MY OPINION THERE ARE TWO PLANE INTAKES ON THE MARKET THAT WILL OUT PERFORM THE VERY OLD DESIGNED OFFY.
Thanks!
