Hey all,

A buddy gave me these ported doves he got in a load of goodies from an estate sale. They have big valves (2.25 stock CJ/1.73 stainless). I have removed the valves and cleaned up the heads but now I'm noticing some previous damage (dropped exhaust valve by the looks of it) and some grinding work in the chambers. Also looks like hardened valve seats were installed after the valve drop incident.

Wonder what some of the BBF experts think of the porting work and of the chambers, mainly the damaged one. Would you run them?

Thanks in advance!

Port work is pretty decent.
The exhaust short turn radii needs work after the hard seat install.
Sharp edges there kill airflow.

Thanks Scotty! All the short turn radii on exhaust ports are smooth with no sharp edges EXCEPT for the damaged chamber from the failed exhaust valve. What I can feel is missing material below the hardened seat, which causes a sharp edge. What are you thoughts on this? Advice? Thanks!

The missing material above the seat in the damaged port is not an issue. A sharp edge at the short turn however is. The pics make it difficult to sort out that detail.
