if i take a standard 750 cfm holley double pump carb such as a 4779 and put a proform main body on it, what is it cfm wise then? any comments appreciated.

It will depend on what main body you use. As far as I know, Proform make a couple of different main bodies and base plates. A friend of mine upgraded his 750dp with a Proform 950 main body and base plate. Not sure if it flows exactly 950cfm, however on a chassis dyno his 440 Chrysler picked up about an extra 50hp from the carb upgrade.

i didn't know you could put the 950 body on the 750 base plate, anybody out there with alot of expirience with this?

and quick fuel base plates , they will not enter change.
