so I have a 4500 pound thunderbird with a blown 460. Next step is getting the drive line put together. would new clutches and steels support near to 1k hp or are the hard parts of the transmission unable to take the abuse. do I need to replace gears baskets input shafts to support a stock block build. It may see some sticky drag radials but not much on the track and nothing extremely wide.

Thank you frank.

I have read that before, but I have no ability to machine new ring grooves or surfaces. Would using the listed parts and clearances be able to make it sufficiently strong. Is a c6 from a 69 car. Not sure if that makes a difference.
