Here's a question for some of you factory computer, fuel injection type guys. Now common sense is telling me I should have no problem, but I want to run it past someone who has tried something like this before. I want to take a stock, fuel injected 2000 Dakota 360 out to 408 inches, go from a stock, less than 200 [email protected]" cam to one in the range of 210-214 on a 112-114 lobe sep and heads that flow about 260, up from the stockers at less than 200 cfm. I'm thinking the inches will make up for the larger cam, plus it'll have a half point more compression (9.5:1 vs 9.0 or less) so the computer should not have issues. However, I'm thinking the larger motor and the better flowing heads will require more fuel injector. Anybody have a good rule of thumb to go to on injector size vs intended hp output? I don't know off the top of my head what injectors this motor has, but I'm guessing somewhere south of 28 lb/hr. I appreciate any help in this matter.
