I received my new RHP D3's yesterday and they look AWESOME!:D
I can't wait to try them out!
Scotty Johnston at RHP has been a HUGE help in the engine build for my 78 Bronco. He Helped me get the right cam for my vehicle and intended use (Scotty's custom grind) and after two sets of bad heads at my local machine shop I decided to go with a set of brand new modern D3's at stage 2.;)
My pictures didn't turn out as nice as the ones on Scotty's site, but it should at least give some idea as to how much attention to detail Scotty gives to his porting.

Newbie question, but what is the idea of the groove on the head pointing to the combustion chamber?

Do a google search for Singh grooves...

I'm not really sure when this Singh dude came up with the idea but the late Andy Hansen at HES in Venice designed the same grooves in his Harley Davidson racing cylinder heads in the 1970's...
Can I ask what they cost ? Just wondering if they are much cheaper than a aluminum head.
The grooves are from the Kama Sutra for engine head technology!

But seriously, theres a lot of interesting articles about them out there on the net.

Have you done any dyno testing with the grooves Scotty? Do they make any difference when flowing the heads or do they just affect combustion efficiency only?
