I just replaced the 31X13 slicks on my 12 inch wide fake Centerlines with a set of MT 325-50-15 drag radials. The slicks had tubes and rim screws. I put on the radials with no tubes, and they are holding air even though the rims are full of holes. Should I reinstall the screws, or run it like it is?? Thanks.

We've done this on a couple of our "street"-type cars without putting back the screws, and we didn't have any problem with them leaking. The tires didn't spin on the rim either (as long as you don't run the air pressure too low). I would say it should be fine.

Thanks DJ. I'm a Drag Radial virgin. :oops: I wanted to ask before I screwed holes into my 400 dollar tires. :lol: I was told to start at 15 pounds and go up or down from there. We'll see what happens in KY, because that may be my first T n T for this one.

No problem Cletus.

We usually run around 18 PSI in them and haven't had a problem with losing air. Any lower than that and they liked to sway alot. But that's in a 3300 lb car running 9.90's.

I was about to say, 15lbs from what I have read is about the lowest pressure you want to go with a radial. I'm running the MT ET Drag 29x9R15 and it works the best at 20psi.(dead hooks) Was told to not take the pressure bellow 16psi

We run BFG 325-50-15 on 9 in welds. 15 psi. Never had a problem spinning on the wheel but then again we only hook with a 1.91 60ft.

The old M/T E.T. Streets spun on the wheels with inner tubes.
