Just fitting my front engine dragster up with the glide and a bigger, higher compression, stroker and maybe even a much bigger roller cam - should be enough to take my 500-550 hp 528 motor into a 650-700hp 545 beast.

However now I now need to learn how to do a proper rolling burnout across the start line. Can anyone give me any advice. Currently im not allowed to burnout over the start line so I just roll to the front of the water box, stick it in 2nd on my C6, bring the revs up to about 2000 on the foot brake then release, motor revs climb to about 5500 and i have to back off and dive on the brakes to stop myself crossing the line. The new glide has a trans brake so im going to need all the traction i can muster!

My thought is to roll into the water box on tick over in 1st, blip the throttle and shift to 2nd and as soon as I feel it bite into 2nd floor it, keeping the revs to about 5500. Does that sound reasonable? The instructions that came with the glide say that I have to start in 1st.

Here is what I did:

First....You may want to use a MSD 3-Step so that you can have 3 pills. one for launch, one for rev limit, and one for burn out.

To do a burn out. Put the dragester in 2nd gear. Push the button in to activate the burn out pill on the 3-step. Smash it to the floor until the car hooks up (or shakes the tires) which ever comes first.
