with no pins or clips that brings the price way higher than a quality piston like a Probe

Probe does not offer a dome top piston for the 460. Ross pistons are made-to-order custom pistons which put them more along the lines of Diamond or JE in regards to custom piston manufacturers. When compared on a more level playing field of available dome top pistons, the SpeedPro L2443 is a cheapo, heavy, made in India, 30-year old dome top design and Summit wants $525 for them. On the other side of the coin, Diamonds are a couple hundred more but come with pins. I would think pins can be easily acquired for these pistons.

No disrespect to Probe, in fact we're a Probe dealer and use their pistons. It's just that comparing a set of custom made-to-order dome tops to a shelf flat top is a little misleading.

I don't see it misleading, a flat top forged piston of quality is a fair comparison.
then a dome piston made in the USA by a top company with pins and retainer lock , the price is close
