Went to the Shelby Museum yesterday took the tour again (5th time) and then stopped at the Cafe. John Force and others have autographed the wall in the place. Lot of old pictures from the old days when Shelby was first racing himself. Food wasn't bad either. Then went out to Red Rock canyon, not to big on looking at at rocks but the girlfriend wanted to go so we went.
Gonna be out here till Sunday then going to head back home the southern route. We came out thru Denver. Picked a poor time to drive out the northern route. Between freezing rain, fog and snow it was a long drive. But I put another thing in my bucket list, I always wanted too drive out here.

Yes it is there is around 20 cars in the front showroom area. Shelby's and original Cobra's, Super Snake new Mustang, a couple Shelby Dodges and the Aurora car that he built. And then a small tour of the factory where they are building the KR's for Ford dealers.

dfree...We will when we head home gonna make a stop at the Grand Canyon also.

The Grand Canyon is cool. When I was about 14, I saw it. I walked up to the rail, and grabbed ahold of it and leaned waaaaay back, because it felt like it was going to suck me right over the edge. Really weird feeling.

Rick the Shelby facility did look neat from the outside! As I sat across the street gassing up the motorcycle I watched as the employee's move the cars in and out of the facility. One of the overhead doors was raised although I couldn't really see much. I thought about visiting the facility but I was heading into Utah and Arizona, to the mountains and canyons. Just a bit off subject, the neat part of that end of Las Vegas was Nellis AFB! I lucked out and was allowed to watch Military maneuvers of several fighter jets as they flew in and out of Nellis, of course from a distance! Those planes amaze me, especially when your sitting close enough to see the pilots clearly!

If you do make it for the factory tour..They start the tour weekdays at 10:30.
And if you go early you can eat breakfast at the cafe. If you cant tell after five times it still impress's me, all that the man has done for racing and Ford.

The wife and I stayed on the north rim a few years ago. Talk about remote! Hiking down into the canyon is really strange. Like climbing a mountain in reverse.

I did the Hoover Dam Tour this spring. Got to go down into the Dam way down in went in a tunnel all the way to the end there is the vent for the tunnel one of 4 vents. Looked out through the slots what a sight. When you are outside you can see the vents 2 are high 2 are low the low one is where we were. then took an elevator to the top came out the brass doors where you drive by.
