WOULD LIKE SOME FEEDBACK ON THIS CAM,SOILD ROLLER COMP CAM. HERE THE SPECS PART # 34-746-9 GRIND 319C-R10. LIFT IS .796 INTAKE- .726 EXHAUST. AD-DUR 319I AND 326E. DUR AT .050 IS .285I - .288E LOBE SEP 110 WITH A .030-.030 LASH.WILL BE USING THE A460 HEADS. THIS IS A PRETTY HEAVY CAR 67 PRO STREET FAIRLANE WITH 456 GEARS. IT IS A STREET LEGAL CAR AND WILL SEE A LITTLE STREET USE, BUT IM THINKING THIS CAM IS A LITTLE SMALL. ANY RECOMENDATIONS?

I'm far from an expert but I also looked at that cam and thought it was odd that it has a smaller exhaust lift than intake, especially with the Ford exhaust port problem. I decided to go with a custom grind, same price as a shelf cam and more tailored for my combo. Cam Motion quoted me with what I think is a good option, 283/[email protected], .748/.750 lift, 112 lobe angle for $290. Another thing that I didn't like about the Comp rollers is they all recommend .030 lash which is alot in my opinion. The last Comp I used was pretty noisy, even with over the transom jet boat headers. Maybe others will provide their opinion also. Chris

The cams with a part # are not the good stuff . A custom grind deal with lobes that are spec'ed are a better way to go . 285* on the intake @ .050" is more than I'd think a heavy car would want .

I agree with LEM...something around 276*/288*@.050" - .780"/.750" - 111* sep. would be more like what you need.

one note on Comp lash

CCSO640: Comps Street rollers have a recomended lash of .014-.016, but again this gets into how its going to used.

street rollers

I was talking about the Hi-Tech series rollers or drag race cams. My jet boat motor was an 11-1 532, shelf roller from Comp, Weiand tunnel ram with 2 Carter 750 AFB's, C9VE heads fully ported with CJ valves, basset headers. Motor ran like a bat out of hell. Chris

The boat is the one that Charlie bought this spring. Chris
