Hey guys i know this question is asked alot but I didn't see anything really recent and it seems im hearing the quality of plugs has really gone south.

My 514 has about 10.5 compression with dove heads. And im running an msd 7al2 box with a blaster 2 coil.

This is also a fresh motor so I m going to be breaking in the cam as well. Dunno if that makes a difference.

What do yall think?

We use the 18 mm autolite 45s though they are a tic hot.
44's or equivalent when we can find them.
The high compression early BBFs used them well into the 10's static c/r.

How do you find 44s? I've been on the computer a couple hours now with no luck

I saw someone somewhere was recommending 124s. Will they work?

I run 45s, yes 44s are almost unobtanium. There's some on ebay.

Where can we find a test from a company that is capable of testing all the aspects of different spark plug heat ranges, types (very interesting on types) which brands may be better and why, what works & doesn't, what is worth the money vs not, etc ? If this has already been addressed please post the links. I don't want to change the OP, but he may appreciate it.

When I built my 521CI, Jon Kasse recommended the NGK R5671A-8 plugs.
