I just picked up a complete, running 460 with the DT9E -AB block for $100. I’m amped. Hopefully it will clean up nice. My question is, as I prepare to order my stroker parts, I’ve been told that 4.3 is as far as we should go with the factory block or we risk losing performance due to the pistons rattling in the bore. But if we use the taller block, does that negate the issue? I’ve also been told the 4.3 stroke moves the power band a little earlier, otherwise the power abilities are very much the same. Lots of scrap parts on this motor, EFI heads and intake any value there?
