I bought (stole) a 460 D1VE A2B block that has never been assembled for $225. It will be going in a 70 Torino GT. My goal is to have it put down a reliable 500hp to the ground. I have questions regarding the bottom end.

Will a 3y crankshaft work?
Are the internal balanced cranks better than external?
Ive read truck rods are beefier, what year or part # truck rods are best?
Is there a recommended source for stock rotating assemblies?
Are the main girdles worth installing?

500 RWHP will require north of 600 at the crank.

While an oem crank will easily deal with this oem rods and replacement builder style pistons will not.

Thank you for the response. I watched the build by HP Tv and that’s just what they used. Can you elaborate on what stock crank would be best. Not looking to bore and stroke.

I am aware of that build.

Any 460 crank internal or external will deal with more HP than you intend on making.
