Ok so I got this double roller timing chain from Elgin. It has a R a A and a 0 on it. I assume the R is retard, A for advance, and 0 for standard. But the 0 doesn’t line up with the timing tooth like my old chain did. Any ideas? Thank you.

Not uncommon. That set is the late 72 to 87 carbed straight up which is retarded 8 degrees.

Use the A which is straight up for early 68 to 71 and EFI's.
