Went to the tractor and truck pull at "The Buck" last night and it wasn't a good night for the Blue Oval. In the Super stock diesel truck there was seven trucks and only one Power Stroke. The rest were Cummins, and though the Power Stroke had a good pull going something happened at the 250' mark and come up short. The 7500lbs modified tractors had a Ford with four N/A 460 with Victor Jr. heads and sounded really good during the pull until front right engine threw a rod through the oil pan. Pieces on the track is never a good thing. Mini tractors had a sharp tractor with a 474cu w/ Blue thunder heads that won the last time they were there. He took it out the end but the fitting that goes on the oil filter relocator broke and he made the run with oil spewing everywhere. The engine stayed together but got tight right before he shut it off. Full pull but couldn't make the call for the pull-off. Two other Fords were in the field but didn't make out to well. At least a Ford Super Stock tractor won, well Ford New Holland. Hope Shazam had a better weekend!
