Hi, All--

I obtained a brand new set of EX514 Aluminum heads that are "as cast" and untouched, unassembled, complete except for springs. These heads have the Big Block Chevy exhaust ports.

The heads come with Ferera Stainless Steel 2.35" Intake and 1.88" Exhaust valves, a set of ARP 7/16" studs, all the guideplates, and a set of titanium retainers and 10-degree keepers.

The person I bought them from, purchased the heads originally back in around 2003 for a project, and his customer abandoned the project before the engine was built (I also got the pistons from him; they're the Ross pistons I have listed in another ad).

What I would like to do is trade them for a new set of P51's (should be equal value), a used set of P51's and some cash, or a set of new SCJ-B's and some cash.

Anybody interested in a trade . . . ?

X2, same question
Well, a little background first:

I happened across these heads when a guy that lives not too far from me responded to a post on another forum of someone looking for a set of heads.

I researched them, and found that they were awesome heads, so I contacted him and he made me a great deal, because he was just trying to get rid of them--he is a Chevy guy, and had purchased them for an engine build project he was putting together for someone else, and that guy abandoned the project.

The details of the car:

I am planning on installing the BBF stroker I build into a 1970 Mustang, and in that car, I'll have the AJE Tubular Front suspension package that is based on the Fox-body platform (i.e.: crossmember under the front of the engine and rack & pinion mounted to it).

The EX514 heads I've got have BBC Exhaust ports, which means there aren't going to be any off-the-shelf headers I can use without major work. A set of Fox-body headers won't fit the chassis. A set of CJ headers for a 70 Mustang chassis will have to have a BBC exhaust flange welded on.

I can, however, get a set of off-the-shelf headers that were made for CJ exhaust ports, built for the 67-70 Mustang chassis, that I can make work with far less effort.

Also, the intake selections available for the P51/Ford Racing SCJ-x heads are far greater than what I can get for the EX514 heads--and cheaper, too.

I don't have a fabrication shop, just a two-car garage that is not very well equipped (small wire-feed welder, 30-gallon compressor, vise, grinder, drillpress and hand tools).

I also don't have a ton of money to have someone else fab up headers or know someone who can do it on the cheap.

So, I'll have to make do with the equipment I have, and it's far easier for me to do so using the standard port layouts that the P51's and SCJ-x's have than it is for what the EX514's have.

The EX514's are great heads, I know that, but due to my circumstances, a set of P51's would work out better for my project.

If worse comes to worse, and I can't get a set of P51's, then I guess I'll just have to somehow come up with whatever I need to make the EX514's work in the chassis I have, it'll just cost more (by having to buy more equipment, or having custom-made parts) and take more time.
