It's likely the stock crossmember can be used if it's a stick car. If it was an AOD car, the end tube welds can be cut and the member slid forward to line up. To extension housing mounting holes in crossmember may need redrilling.
Took the car out for the first time it hit the rev box at 6200rpm at 3/4 track the time slip say i ran 98mph the calculater say i should run 117mph

I have a short shaft C6 which SHOULDN'T have been available before 1977, but in looking at master rebuild kits many say up to '76 or 77 and later. The only part I can find that might have a production split like that is the modulator (screw in vs push in?).

It's a big block...just the 6 cylinder one.
Turbo 300 inline six, fabricated aluminum head, 800ish ft-lbs going into the converter. Will be using a C6 and 8.8 axle, shortened the 8.8 and converted to use 9" style axle bearings and no C-clips.
Car will weigh around 2800lbs, it's a 70 Maverick...
