ok I have a 460 bored so now a 468, .588 hydraulic flat tappet cam, sjc aluminum heads and a weiand tunnel ram with 2 new holley 600cfm carbs.

Heres the problem, the motor is in time and all that jazz. The motor fires up idles great about 900 rpm then just shuts off after about 20 seconds.
OK... now you pat the gas fires right up idles like a champ as before but shuts off after about 10 seconds...
Now 5 seconds.... next crank....2 sec... now won't crank and seems flooded?
Leave it sitting for 15 min come back fires right up and the process starts again.

I am completely stumped on what the issue is. There is definatly no lack of fuel that's for sure. I've checked for vacuum leaks maybe ist electrical?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

If you have a fusible link in the power source to the ignition I would check there.

The spark plugs are champion 71-1 and summit said 711, R12YC but the pack says small engine plug? For mowers ect. .. Idk if it could be plugs or like you said the coil. I'm going to test some of the wires with a meter and see what the voltage reads when it shuts off.

It could be electrical / ignition related, or it could be flooding. Has it backfired at all when attempting to start it??....if so, it could have ruptured the power valve diaphram, and its allowing extra fuel to leak into the manifold..
But as its been suggested, start looking at the power side of the system and the ignition.
Begin the proccess of elimination...
