I was just watching NBC Nightly News and they ran a story about V J Day(Aug 15) and the signing of the treaty with Japan(today 65 years ago). This was the day that World War 2 ended with the surrender of the Japanese aboard the USS Missouri. A man in the story was there right in the front row that day and he was visiting the ship one last time(he has terminal cancer). What a tremendous event he got to witness. It was the end of the most destructive and costly event EVER.
