but my seat belts expired in august and they said no way its my fault for not checkin them for some reason i have had 10-09 for the exp. date in my head o well i ordered new ones today so sunday its on again the best yet was 10.18 @131 and 6.47 @107 in the1/8 with a 125 shot of nos and it was out of rpm at 5800 before the line with the 850 dp on it now that i put the 950 on it pulls past 6200 no problem and i pumped it up to a 150 shot also so 9s i think no problem and i still have the tci 11'' breakaway converter in it that i cant stall past 1500 rpm. Soon i will try the 4000 stall i bought a few weeks ago and then some spray with that too probley.

I dont know your combo but it should go nines with no probem. My old 466 with dove heads went 9.78 off the trailer with a 1.49 60ft, on a 185 shot. 3400 lbs. stock crank and rods. i did run a 1050 dommy carb though. put that convertor in and it will be night and day diff. you may pick up as much as 2-3 tenths on convertor alone. a good convertor makes a hell of a difference in the cars performance.

Its a 84 mustang it weighs 2700 with me in it Qa1 k member,coil overs175#springs,Johnny Dwaine custom ladder bars with dodge omni springs in back, all lexan,15x9 welds,28x10.5 stiff walls with tubes skinnys up front the motor is a 70 472" with 68 429 heads #c8ve-e ported with 2.19-1.73 valves,trw forged dish pistons,stock crank, paw stage 2 rods(stockers resized with milodon bolts) ,cam is a comp flat hyd 292 magnum ([email protected] and 560 lift) victor intake unportmatched its way off, custom hp 950 carb by yours truely:) with proform base plate, metering blocks and quick jet change fuel bowls running 76-86 jets,all msd,c6 with tci manuel reverse body and tci 11'' breakaway converter,8.8 with 9'' ends ,33#mosers and spool,390 gears the single springs on the heads are for the 280 cam and they sat under pressure for 10 years so the new right springs will help im sure the best ever on motor with this combo was a 10.57 @ 128mph with a 1.48 60' footbrakin to 1500 anymore it pushes over the line so i think with the intake matched a flat solid cam matched to the flow of the heads with the right springs and my new 4k converter i should be in the 9s without spray then i'll spray it anyway i bracket raced for years with nos on my 76 cobra 2 thats on the top page now i wana spray the big block car more i raced it the last two years all motor and im ready for some nitrous fun for a while again.

Yea i love the carb well the belts are in and tomorrows lookin to be a good sunny sunday with high of 80 and low of 64 i think so a hi 9 first pass i hope i will post a viedo of it.

Well the 9s didnt happen i got close tho the track sucked for traction for everybody my first run was a 10.094 @132.19 mph and 6.416 @107.29 in the 1/8 with a 1.412 60' spinning on a 150 shot off the line and it was done before the stripe it lost power at 6k the 2nd run was a 10.369 @ 128.53 mph cause the tires went up in smoke so after my two time runs i took off the nitrous set my timing and plug gap back to normal and guessed on my dial and won 1st round then won 2nd round then lost in 3rd round with a 10.930 on a 10.92 dial from my crummy .127 lite the other guy went 11.588 on a 11.53 dial with a .031 lite so all in all it was a good day making it 3 rounds with no real time runs but i will say that i like the big block car better on all motor it just feels better to me the nitrous will stay on the small block cobra two thats how its been for years anyway.
