I'm sure this has been covered somewhere. I have been searching, but have had limited success.

I am mounting an electric (CSR) water pump in front of a motorplate. What do I do with the bypass that is suppose to run from the intake to the waterpump?

any pic of what your trying to do? i know on my intake there isn a bung that come out of the fronty of the intake that has a runnber hose that connects to the back of my water pump. is this what your talking about?

Yes Mizery, That is what I am talking about. It's a new Victor intake and doesn't have any fittings in it yet. I will simply tap it and put something in it. I would love to find a flush alluminum pipe plug. It made sense to just plug it, but I wanted to make sure.

Someone once mentioned to me that it might cause some problem with air pockets, or otherwise prevent proper cooling. I just wanted to hear from someone that has "been there, done that".

Also, the plate that came with the water pump has much smaller holes (maybe 1" diameter) than the water pump and the timing cover. It looks like it could be somewhat restrictive. Any issues? Should I open them up? Again, I assume the pump is designed to work with the plate they sent.

This is my set up





You get the idea of what's possible. It's pretty easy, keep the tap straight and don't go too deep because the pipe thread is tapered. And yes, the 1" holes in the plate should be sufficent for anything that the electric pump would circulate. An electric pump set up is more of a "cool down" system that a full on towing/road race "cooling system" any way. Hope that helps.
