HOLLY is always better than EDELJUNK!
Imo there is no good street/race carb. To get all out of your motor you would need two and change when needed. You might get a custom carb and do better but not of the shelf.
GO WITH WHATS A PROVEN WINNER!!!!! HOLLEY:D

MAYBE THE TRUCK AVENGER? ANY MODS ON ENGINE? CAM, INTAKE, HEADERS, FUEL, ECT.
Off the shelf carbs, no matter who makes 'em, rarely if ever show the full potential of the power-plant.

Yes on a stock 460 mud booger you will want a 750 cfm Holley vacuum secondaries (pt#03310-2 model 4160) and very important the carb its worth a few horsepower over the edelbrock carb. the filter should be installed in front of the fuel pump in front of the fuel pump not behind it I can't stress that enough if you want your pump to last a long time the pump is designed to push the fuel to the filter to the carburetor and not pull it. filter in front of the pump!!! filter in front of the pump!!!you will also need a one inch four hole or open spacer below the carb you will need some longer carb mounting studs 1 1/2 inch studs and you are set to go bogging
The truck has hei distributor & dual exhaust mostly street some mud
It only has 70k original miles on engine
