i got this for 100$ and i wanna put it in this month with a stall converter, i bought a b&m shift kit and its sayin what holes to drill out for different year trannys? i didnt see any numbers on it besides a big 91 on the bellhousing part??
and this is a c6 right?!! its my first auto ever! :eek:

Looks to be around 1968.
What engine are you putting it behind?

1968 really? it was on a 460 when i pulled it, ill be puttin it on my 460 soon

i thought the early cases had ribs on the back :confused:
i'd say later truck. 80's...looks like a linkage, rather than cable shift.

ill check tonight for more numbers.. as far as the shifting goes i would think its a linkage, but i dono cuz i never had a auto. its got like a ratchet mechanism shifter, P R N D 2 1

Does the modulator screw in or push in?

If it's a push in the case is 72 or later.

There should be a small tag on the transmission, either extension housing, pan or servo cover.

C6 ID

Clean the lever off...their should be a number on it...that should get you pretty close to the year... Post what they are and I can tell what the lever came out of...no guarantee they didn't change levers, but it's a column shift probably out of a truck.

found the number tag and it wasnt even rusted! i guess its a 1979

Must have a push in modulator provided the lever wasn't swapped.

yea thats what id say, im usin it with my divorced t case so it WILL be 4x4.. but i dont have a auto steering columnwith a shifter sooo, what do i need to make it a floor shifter if possible?
