Im building a large 460 and want to use the blue thunder A (ford port) heads but dont know if they will fit into the engine compartment since the ex. ports have been moved up 5/8 inch on those heads. I know the SVO heads will fit but they are no better than iron CJ. Thanks in advance

Are better than the iron CJ heads. Personal experence but no dyno sheet to prove. Replaced a pair of iron heads with the aluminum on a flat bottom V-drive, boat left harder and pulled 3-400 rpm more than with the iron CJs, same size valves/ports. Exhaust port is improved over the origonal CJs.

The Bluethunder heads are a great piece but can be a difficult fit in this car! Stock parameter heads are tight! With a modified shock tower it could be done!
Consider either the B/T stock port location 460 head or the Edelbrock head!
Check with D&D AUTOMOTIVE SPECIALTIES
They are dealers for the heads & I think the swap parts too!
They also have a ton of trick 460 stuff
