While the transmission is out of the truck getting rebuilt I have the transfer case sitting in the bed. My question is, have you guys thrown a rebuild kit in at some point. It's 30 over years old and it would seem a good time to freshen up. Any advice or recommendations?

If you have no problems with it, just put it back in.

About the only issue is a bit of oil leaking but that's easily looked after. Sounds like it's one less job before putting everything back together. Thanks.

Yup leave it alone. Maybe put new seals in the case for the yokes.
