Hi folks, new to posting but have been lurking around for a bit... I just picked up a 460 and c6 tranny and the former owner said it had an "RV" cam in it. I'm wondering what duration the RV cams generally are? Could you even do a wild guess? I have an old part number for it, receipts are dated 88. 229-1732. I can't find info on this anywhere. Any help greatly appreciated,

I would venture to say an RV cam should be around 210-220 on the intake and exhaust @ .050, maybe as far as 230 ish on the exhaust side. Advertised duration probably 260-270 range. With a lift in the 490-520 area, and an rpm range around 4200-4800. JM2C. Hope this gives you a ballpark to play in...
