hey guys

Been reading up here and starting to get my mind a bit twisted as I try to cipher through all the info. So thought I would just ask.

460 in an old hotrod truck thats being built.
Currently has an Edelbrock performer intake and Holly carb.
Aiming for a more tougher image and the truck will be put down the strip.

So thought supercharger.
Now NZ where we are from has some strict laws on what can be aloud on the roads. Part of that is driver visibility.
The super charger option looked at so far was to tall thus blocking how far the driver could see.

So im after some options for superchargers. Brands etc aiming for a low profile one if possible.

Didnt see any vortech ones. They do a 460 setup?

Failing this the next step is tunnel ram.

So a few pics.

Or any other setups anyone recommends?

cheers

Nice ride, very cool. A centrifugal supercharger has a low prifile, the carb hat won't be more than 4-5 inches taller than the carburator. A Procharger or a Vortech will do the job, a tunnel ram will be much taller.

I adapted a BBC Vortech V7 YSI blower kit to my 460. It came with an enclosed Box for the Carb but I changed to a blow thru hat when I switched from Carb to FiTEch EFI.

Still have the carb and enclosed box. I made an adapter to bolt to the 460 head out a piece of 3/4 inch steel. Drilled new holes in the blower pulley to fit the Chevy based pulley to Ford. This was not that hard.

I did this because at the time, Vortech did not make BBF bolt on Supercharger.

Looking for an original ford 460 supercharger system, possibly refurbished. I have a Ford F-250 with many upgraded parts including a remanufactured 460 with stage 1 cam and full banks power pak high flow from intake to exhaust. Can anyone help me find a supercharger kit for my 1993 Ford 460c.i. engine?
