Ended up advancing the timing 16* and the knocking went away.

Posted a short vid of a rattling noise about 4 months ago.
I thought it was the engine. It was tired so I decided to take it out and rebuild it.
It was in my motor home, class C Ford E350 chassis.
New flexplate so the noise isn't there either.
Got it all done and it runs like a champ....except that rattling noise at 2100rpm under load is still there.
Could this be coming from my C6?
It is married to an NP205 transfer case.

I am literally waiting for my wife to get dressed so I can do exactly that.
The dog house is off and I can replicate the noise within 300 yards of my driveway; hill, 1st gear, 2100rpm.
The transmission has not been rebuilt, but it has been well maintained (filter change, fluid change)
I banged on the muffler and did not hear any rattling.
The transmission shifts fine with no slipping at all.
I was just wondering if anyone has heard that kind of noise coming from their transmission?

I can fluctuate the noise with the throttle once it starts as long as I keep it in the 2100-2300 rpm range.
My guess was transmission because I thought I had done everything else to eliminate it.
The timing is set at 8* BTDC as recommended, but I am going to try retarding that to eliminate pre-detonation.
Fingers crossed.
